First Chance 1 / Primary Sleepover 1 - LET THE SON SHINE
Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
It’s hard not to smile when the sun is shining, you can look around you and see all the wonderful things that God has created. That includes each of us too. God loves us so much that He sent his only son,Jesus, to die for our sins and then He rose again to prepare a place for us to be in Heaven with them! That’s something worth learning more about and sharing with everyone we meet. So come spend some time with us in the sun (hopefully), bring a friend, and find out how to let the Son shine through you and lead others to a life-saving relationship with Jesus.
All-In Mission Trip -
We are traveling to eastern Ky to help with the continuing flood recovery that ripped through the area last summer. Along with serving the community in the name of Jesus, we will also be diving into scripture to answer the question "What does it say...?". We will be looking to see what scripture says about specific topics/issues, but the overall intention is to show that no matter what we come up against in life scripture has the answer. We work hard, we dive into scripture and we have a lot of fun!!
Boys Primitive - AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART- THE LIFE OF DAVID- FACING GIANTS IN OUR LIVES
We will be learning how to handle obstacles in life as well as basic survival skills. Including foraging, trapping, fishing, processing game (cleaning fish), and fire starting among other skills. We will also be teaching some vocational skills like measuring, wood working and safety. We will also spend a portion of our time giving back to Camp Calvary and helping keep the camp grounds looking good. Our mission this year will be Kentucky Hunters For The Hungry. Come with a good attitude and a willingness to serve. We look forward as always to helping your youth to grow in their walk with God and connect with his creation.
Field & Stream - MEN OF GOD
What does it mean to be a Man of God? That’s what we are going to be discussing with these young men. We are going to look at the men of Scripture and learn about what it means to truly be a Man of God. Men have a large responsibility in life, in relationships, in the family, and in the church. We want to help encourage and build up the next generation of Family leaders and Men of the Church. 1 Timothy 6:11-12 says "'But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. '"
It is our Goal to teach the truth of Gods word and teach what it is to be Men of God as we navigate today's world.
Field and Stream is for High School Boys. We will be engaging in various outdoor activities (tomahawk throwing, skeet shooting, 22. LR Shooting, trapping, hiking, fishing, Etc.). Feel free to bring any shotgun or 22. Rifle you would like to participate but there will be some provided and they will be left under lock and key and only handled by adults when the time is appropriate. Also, if you are a fisherman bring your own poles and tackle. We will have limited poles.
Junor 1 - CODE BREAKERS
Synopsis: This week we will be unlocking the parables of Jesus and cracking the Kingdom code. Kids will examine the clues, break the code, and gain an understanding of their role in the Kingdom of God. Kids will learn that they are loved, to Love God, and to Love others.

Want to spend a week fishing, swimming, and other water sports on beautiful Lake Barkley while growing a deeper relationship with God? No better place to learn how to sow and grow closer with him and some great people who love and worship the one true God around the campfire. We will be diving into God’s wonderful words of Matthew 13, the parable of The Sower. Discover the importance of sowing seeds and to be reminded how we are to receive His word in our own lives.
Girls Primitive - WILD COUNTRY
You led your people along that road; a pathway no one knew was there! Psalm 77: 19,20
Have you ever considered how difficult it might have been for the disciples to follow the way of the Spirit after literally following Jesus on foot for three years?
During Girls Primitive we will explore the accounts of Acts and follow the Apostle’s journey into WILD COUNTRY- the way of the Holy Spirit.
It is a way of boldness and faithful pursuit; a way that calls us to unity, accountability and so much more!
The way of the Spirit is an invitation God has set from the beginning of creation to walk HIS road for your life- a pathway no one knew was there!
Are you willing to follow the Spirit’s call?
Intermediate 1 - ...MEETS WORLD
Growing up can be tough. That’s especially true when you’re in Middle School. You’re at the age where you’re just starting to meet the world.
As difficult as it can be, doing it as a Christian can be even more so. But at Intermediate I, we’re going to look at what Jesus means when He says that He has overcome the world, and how He prepares us to do the same.
Come join us for a week of spiritual growth, fun with old and new friends, and filling our souls with God’s Word!
Senior 1 - MASTERPIECE
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:10
Have you wondered what your purpose is and what God may have planned for you? Do you feel conflicted, pulled in the wrong direction, or uncertain?
During Senior 1, we will explore biblical accounts of people who lived through extraordinary adventures and trials, and who ultimately accomplished the good works God prepared them for. We will apply these lessons to our own lives in order to discover that we too have been uniquely created by God, and should live each day with purpose.
Get ready to spend the week learning more about yourself, while growing closer to one another and to the Heavenly Father who created you to live as His masterpiece, equipped for good works.
Girls Wilderness - PLEASE PAY ATTENTION
Psalm 25:4-5 - “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."
Is life just a little too loud sometimes? Do you get tired of all the noise? We have so many things fighting for our attention each day. With responsibilities at home, commitments to church, projects for school, plans with our friends…our days can be filled with activities even before the day starts. Some people say “paying attention” is the core of the spiritual life, but why is it so hard? Sometimes it seems like God isn’t even there! Noticing God might mean you have to stop, listen, and change up your steps a bit. It might mean trying some new things that are uncomfortable at times. The truth is, God is always with us. He always shows up—just not always in the way we’d choose. Sometimes God shows up, and we don’t even recognize him! Girls Wilderness is the perfect opportunity to take a break from all those distractions and truly notice God. Come join us as we spend the week crafting, eating, worshiping, making friends, and paying attention so we can hear God’s voice more clearly.
First Chance 2 & Primary Sleepover 2 - ELEMENTAL FAITH
1 Kings 19:11b - 12 A great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.
Have you ever had a hard time listening for God through all of the noise of life? We will be looking at stories from the Bible that deal with the Elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air and how the people in those stories were able to trust in God’s voice through all of the chaos. We plan to have a lot of fun at camp with waterslides, rock walls, campfires, hayrides, crafts, worship, and more…but our ultimate hope is that the kids will be able to get away from the noise and chaos of life and hear the "gentle whisper” of their Creator as they grow in their faith.
Wilderness 1 - LION
Who is Jesus? Some say He’s only a prophet, some say He’s only a teacher, others say He’s just a good man. In a world full of uncertainty and confusion, kids need to know who Jesus really is, now, more than ever. During Wilderness 1, kids will explore Jesus’ identity as the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God and what that means for their lives. Activities include creek fun, (closed toed shoes are required for that time), 22 rifle shooting and archery. We also plan on traveling to Willisburg Christian church on a wagon ride for fireworks (weather permitting). This is our third year as deans for this week of Wilderness 1, but we are definitely not new to wilderness. Allison Noort has helped with Wilderness 1 for the past 10+ years, loves every minute and can’t wait to continue this adventure as dean. Allan Noort will be co-dean, has worked Wilderness 1 several years and brings a lot of support, fun, and excitement. We look forward to learning more about Christ, having fun, and fellowshipping with your children this week of camp!
Junior 2 - MASTER CHEF
“The Master’s Chefs” Join us at Junior II for a cooking competition unlike any other in existence. Now that’s a bold statement considering everything that’s available on Food Network. During our week, Kids will explore the ingredients that go into a godly life, in hopes of becoming the Master’s chef, a first in Camp Calvary history. Kids will learn that in order to have a godly life, we must use the ingredients and directions from God’s “recipe” which can be found in the Bible.
Wilderness 2 - RADIATE JOY
This week we will be discussing the difference in having joy in Christ, vs an earthy happiness.
So much of our world revolves around our mental health, so this week we will be diving into scripture to see what that looks like as a Christian, and how peace and comfort comes from everlasting Joy!
Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Intermediate 2 - NO QUESTIONS
There is no question that we need a Savior. There is no question God loves us. There is no question about our future if we put our life in God's hands.
Wilderness 3 - AT THE TABLE
Psalm 23 describes God as a Good Shepherd that "prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies." What does that mean? For us, it means God wants to have community and a relationship with us in the midst of every trial and temptation. However, we also have an enemy that wants nothing more than to be invited to that table to steal our thoughts and attention away from our Father who loves us. Join us to impact all this, with tons of great food, games, and worship along the way!
Senior 2 - ADOPTED
Ephesians 1:3-10 - "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ."
The message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that God CHOSE to make us part of His family. The work of Christ on the cross was to reconcile us to God, that we would no longer be slaves to sin, but that we could be CHILDREN, and even heirs of God. At Senior2 2023, we're going to take a look at times in Scripture when God used people that weren't his people, and brought them into His work, and included them in his family, and how He desires to do the same in our lives.
Deeper Life - MORE THAN
Romans 8:37 “...in all things we are MORE THAN conquerors through Him who loved us.”
We are thankful that God doesn’t just provide us the bare minimum to get by, instead He
provides us MORE THAN we need to conqueror the challenges of life! Each night we will talk
about how God gives us MORE THAN enough to know who He is and what He is doing in and
with our lives. Join other college age students and spend valuable time as we get away and
deepen your understanding and connection with a God that is MORE THAN!
We’re heading to Western Ky. where we will explore a cave, canoe down a river, play paint ball,
and spend a few nights in air-conditioned tree houses! Deadline to sign up is JULY 9!
