Meet the full-Time Staff
Vickie Cooper has been working at Camp Calvary since 1989 when her and Alan entered into the ministry together. Both attended Camp Calvary as campers in the 60's and they lived, worked, and served in the Camp ministry together for 34 years. Alan fought a long battle of cancer for 12 years and passed away in December of 2022. Vickie continues with their mission, doing anything that is needed but specifically works as Kitchen Supervisor.
Emily Luttrell grew up at Camp Calvary being the youngest child of Alan & Vickie Cooper. Emily has been working at camp as long as she can remember and says that camp will always be her home. Emily's official title is Program Coordinator, but also works some in the kitchen with her mom. Emily loves being able to bring her daughters, Austyn & Charley to camp with her and watch them grow up at Camp Calvary like she did.
Kevin Reynolds was hired in October 2019 and is our Building and Grounds Supervisor and Ellie was officially hired in 2021 and is charge of Guest Services Clerk. Ellie attended Camp Calvary as a camper and even worked as Kitchen Staff when she was a teen. We are excited to have Kevin & Ellie on our team and are thankful for their dedication to Camp Calvary!
Directions
From Louisville Airport:
Take I-65 south and exit at the Bardstown/Clairmont exit. Turn left toward Bardstown on Hwy 245. Stay on 245 until it intersects with Hwy 150. Take a left on 150 and then another left on the BG parkway. You will be heading toward Lexington. You need to exit the parkway at exit # 42. Turn right onto Hwy 555. Stay on 555 until you intersect with Hwy 433. Take a left on 433, travel through Willisburg, staying on 433 until you come to the first Camp Calvary sign. This sign is located at White Hall Road. Follow the camp signs on in to Camp Calvary.
From Southeast Christian Church:
Take I-64 E. to Gene Snyder south. Exit at Taylorsville Road which is Hwy 155. Take 155 to Taylorsville. Continue south on 55 after you enter Taylorsville. Take 55 through Bloomfield and on to the Bluegrass Parkway. Take the BG east and exit the BG at Exit # 42. Turn right onto Hwy 555. Stay on 555 until you intersect with Hwy 433. Take a left on 433, travel through Willisburg, staying on 433 until you come to the first Camp Calvary sign. This sign is located at White Hall Road. Follow the camp signs on in to Camp Calvary.
From Lexington:
Take Versailles Road to the BG Parkway. Once on the parkway you will be heading toward Elizabethtown. Exit the parkway at exit 42. Turn left on Hwy 555. Stay on 555 until you intersect with Hwy 433. Take a left on 433, travel through Willisburg, staying on 433 until you come to the first Camp Calvary sign. This sign is located at White Hall Road. Follow the camp signs on in to Camp Calvary.
